Hey all,
What kind of salads do you like? I like many different kinds of salad. I like green salad, chicken salad, pasta salad and too many to really mention.
What do you like in your green salad? I like tomatos, pepers, onion and salad dressing of course.
A green salad must have at least two varieties of leafy veggies, such as lettuce, spinnach, kale, collards, you get the idea. Other options include carrot, onion, radish, celery, broccoly, cucumber, tomato, pepper. Seeds are also ok. Adding cheeses and/or meats to an otherwise green salad makes it a hybred. LOL.
I like green salads with oliv oil and lemon as a dressing. I don't like the dressings you can buy. Some people in Cyprus put vinegar instead of lemon but i don't like this either.
I love all kinds of assorted salads, with coleslaw, potato salad, chopped nuts, peanuts, walnuts and dried fruits plus mexican mix with rice mixed in with the vegies, perhaps some chopped apple and banana, grated cheese, grated carrot, cucumber, tomato and perhaps some cheesy pasta shells, all mixed in withmayonaise, thanks to my sweet tooth, lmfao.

sallads I like:
green, potato, pasta, and fruit
I like cole slaw, potato salad, pasta salad and fruit salads. I also like taco salad. One of my favorites is pistachio salad made with pistachio pudding, cool whip, mini marshmallows and pineapple tidbits. Just mix a box of instant pistachio pudding with a container of coolwhip until well combined and the pudding is all disolved. Then add add one cup of mini marshmallows and one can of pineapple tidbits. I usually drain the juice, but I do add about a tablespoon of juice. Then just let the salad chill in the fridge for a few hours to let the flavors combine. If you haven't ever had this salad, I suggest that you make it. It's absolutely delicious. I make it just about every Thanksgiving and Christmas. You could serve it as a side dish or a dessert.
I like green salad. Mine contains lettjuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, if I eat one at school, our salad bar also has pickled okrah, which has not been served lately, then crutons, and dressing, of course!
My favourite things for a salad are:
Lettuce, cucumber, cheese, pickled onions, beetroot, ham or corned beef, hard boiled eggs halved and smothered in mayo, boiled potatos with butter, sometimes slaw, although I like the different slaws, like pineapple, a spicy one we get over here called Madras, and the nutty ones. OK now I'm hungry, lol.
! This si going to be very plane, but whenenver I eat a salad it must be just plane green ledis, with baken bits, lots of aig, chese, and either ranch or blue chese dressing.
told you it'd be boring and plane..
Lol but that's what I like..
I'm actualy a very pickie eater..

Ceasar Salad for me. That's what I usually order when I choose to order a salad, but I eat mostly their best meals. Hehe!
I'm not a fan of green salad at all. But I totally love fruit salad! Melon, pineapples, peaches, strawberries, and apples do just nicely.
I like fruit salad with all kinds of fruit. If it is store-bought fruit cocktale or canned peaches, I also like it with cottage cheese. I also like coleslaw, Roman coleslaw, noodle salad, some potato salads, tuna salad, and chicken salad (as long as there is no fat, skin, or cartilage in the chicken).
For a green salad, ideally, I like lettuces, cabbage, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, green and black olives, nuts, and seeds. For the topping/dressing, I either like Ranch, Blue Cheese, Italian along with parmesan chese, or salt and pepper and lemon juice. It depends what I'm in the mood for when it comes to the topping/dressing.
If you want a healthy, but good salad dressing take a little olive oil, lime juice and garlic and sprinkle it over your salad.
Fresh Mozzarella salad with grilled chicken:
a bed of romaign lettuce and baby spinach, thick slices of fresh mozzarella, roma tomatoes, and bazil. My husband likes it just like that with black olives on top but I like it with pieces of grilled chicken breast over it. Any oil-based dressing makes it amazing.
I love spinach salad, Potato salad, Waldorf salad and fruit salad.
My favorite fruit salad is more a desert than anything else. It's very similar to BLW1978's recipe.
A tub of coolwhip, two cups of mini marshmallows, a large can of manderan oranges drained, a large can of pineapples drained, two bananas chopped, and two apples chopped. Mix it all together, and you have a very tasty fruit salad.
Hmm, I turn salads in to nice lunch dishes. Husband isn't big on anything raw and green so I usually stick to chicken, tuna, egg, & bean salads. I loved a cauliflower salad grandma made growing up. A head of cauliflower chopped, about a cup or so of mayonaise & a pound of baby shrimp cooked, some salt and pepper and your in business. These proportions make enough for a large dish like she used for thanksgiving. Asian and Italian salads are nice. Things with beete root potato etc. Never been big on cabbage. The recipe is easily halved, shrimp is expensive so I save this for special occasions. Now I'm hungry, I think theres chicken salad in the fridge.
I like macaroni salad and potato salad. My favorite toppings for a regular salad are bacon bits, eggs, ham, chicken, cheese, and pepperoni. At Applebee's I usually get this salad called fried chicken salad. It's really amazing! It has cut up fried chicken, egg, tomato (which is optional), and honey mustard dressing. I loooooooove it! Just thinking about it and talking about it is making me hungry! *drools*!
